Queens ship Monday through Thursday. If your order is placed after Thursday, it will not ship out until the following Monday to prevent queens being stuck over the weekend.

Our Buckfast queens come from a queen breeder in Northern California. (Not Texas)

Buckfast bees are resistant to Tracheal mites and do well in cool climates. They are easy to work with, and are excellent honey producers. They have a low tendency to swarm and are economical in the use of winter stores.

Cold, wet winters are the norm for Buckfast bees, so they’re accustomed to building up the hive size quickly in the spring.

• No Option Added – No Marking or Clipping.
• Queen Clipping – These queens will have 1 wing Clipped.
• Queen Marking – These queens will be marked with a painted dot on her thorax ( Color will depend on the year ).
• Queen Marking and Clipping – These queens will be marked with a painted dot on her thorax ( Color will depend on the year ) and 1 wing will be Clipped.

Queen Orders of 8 or Less will be shipped in 3 Hole queen cages with attendants. Shipped in a envelope or small overnight box

Queen Order of 9+ will be shipped in plastic JZ-BZ cages or CA Mini Cages with candy tubes in a bag under the queens. Shipped in a Screen Shipping Box with loose bulk bees.
