Description
These tiny numbered discs are ideal for keeping track of the genetics in your queen rearing operation. The numbers from this kit are glued on the backs of your queens. Products like Tite-Bond II Wood Glue can be used to attach the numbers. A toothpick is used to apply a small amount of glue to the queen's thorax. The other end of the toothpick is then moistened and used to pick up the tag and touch it to the glue. Each color includes numbers 0-99.
The color of the number usually follows the International Queen Marking Color Code, based on the last digit of the year:
- White: Years ending in 1 or 6
- Yellow: Years ending in 2 or 7
- Red: Years ending in 3 or 8
- Green: Years ending in 4 or 9
- Blue: Years ending in 5 or 0
